When you arrive at CDC or CDC Northside for your scheduled appointment it is very important to us that you feel our commitment to personal attention and comfort from the moment you walk-in and through the completion of your diagnostic exam. At CDC, we take pride in scheduling appointments in a timely manner through‘person to patient’ phone calls. You will never be bothered with impersonal automated phone systems, and we promise to keep any hold times to a minimum.
Each team member is trained to take your pertinent information and work to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you.
We make every effort to ensure that all appointments run on-time and each patient is seen in a timely manner. If you are delayed or cannot keep your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. While we cannot guarantee your appointment slot if you are more than 15 minutes late, we will make every effort to work you back into the schedule as quickly as possible.
Arriving at CDC
Located just a short distance from the The Medical Center, our 2040 10th Ave center offers free parking just steps away from the front entrance. Our CDC Northside location is at 7500 Veterans Pkwy, Suite C, across from the Valley Rescue Mission Retail Store. Once inside, you will be greeted by one of our friendly office associates. They will assist you as you check-in and have you begin by completing the appropriate forms. We will be glad to answer any questions about registration and your visit.
Once your registration is complete, we invite you to be seated in our front lobby for a brief wait. You will find our lobby area is designed for comfort with televisions, current magazines and helpful information about your exam. Should you need anything, please let us know.
Meeting your technologist
Following check-in, a CDC/CDC Northside technologist will meet you in the lobby and escort you to your imaging suite. He or she will be with you throughout your visit. Depending on the type of exam you are having, you may be required to change into a gown. For an MRI, you will remove all articles made with metal and secure them, along with other personal items and valuables, in a secure locker. The technologist will then provide details and a thorough explanation of your exam. We especially welcome your questions at this point before the exam begins and scans are taken.
You will find there is plenty of room with natural lighting and custom lighting in our MRI and CT imaging suites. The technologist performs the scan from the adjoining room, monitoring the entire process through a large window. There is constant contact with him or her via a microphone, letting you know exactly what to expect and how long it will take. Whether it is headphones for music, eye pillows or a blanket to help soothe you, we are intent on making you comfortable before, during and after your exam. If you have any feelings of discomfort or concern, simply let the technologist know, and he or she will help make you more comfortable.
